Local Reactions to New ATM's

Bank of America has changed its ATM's, and some Syracuse locals had mostly positive things to say. Jessica Murray of DeWitt says the machines can cut down on paper waste, and will reduce the footprint on the environment. The new ATM's eliminate the use of envelopes and deposit slips. When asked about the new ATM's, Syracuse student Dustin Emery says, "Overall I would say it is a pretty good system". Bank of America spokesperson Tara Burke says the new scanning technology has been a big hit with customers, and has shortened lines at the teller. However, not everyone believes that the new ATM's are a success. Syracuse resident Thomas Foley agrees that the new ATM reads the deposits faster, but he says individually inserting the checks and cash is a pain. Although a google search shows hundreds of pages with negative reviews, here in Syracuse, so far, so good.
