"Ghost Walking" in Syracuse

July 14, 2009--The Onondaga Historical Association Museum is hosting a Ghost Walk on Thursday evening. The Ghost Walk takes visitors on a tour around the museum and features actors playing characters that are important to Syracuse history, including Gambrinus, the Patron Saint of Beer, whom the Historical Association's Beer Festival was named after. "The characters that do appear have historical significance in some way and do tell a little bit about their lives, but it's definitely not a history lesson,” says Scott Peel, Education Associate for the Historical Museum. “It's more of a an encounter of what it's like living in a museum." The Ghost Walk is a part of the Historical Association's "Evening at the Museum" series.
