Arts Festival Sales Not Significantly Affected by Economy

Syracuse, N.Y-- The Arts & Crafts Festival took place this past weekend, and sales only slightly lower than last year's. The decrease in sales could be a result of the weak economy, or the heavy rain on Saturday.

"It started off good, and finished off steady", says Letitia Lee, a painter from Virginia. Lee's total sales were less than last year's, but still worth the long trip to Central New York. She was also impressed by the amount of traffic in her booth throughout the entire festival.

Vendors featured a wide selection of talents, including ceramics, fabric and fiber, glass, jewelry, leather, metal, wood, painting, graphics, drawing, sculpture, and photography.
