The mild weather might be comfortable for some, but is hurting one local air conditioning business.
Angelo Chiodo owns a heating and air conditioning business in Syracuse and says this summer his air conditioning sales are down close to 40 percent because of the lower than average temperatures. Chiodo says he hasn't seen anything like it in the 30-plus years he's been in business, and he's heard the same trend from other area heating and air sales companies.
"If you look at the weather, all around us is a heat wave," Chiodo said. "Except here."
Chiodo says he doesn't expect the sales to get better this summer, but he doesn't think it will have a drastic affect on his business in the long run.
