SYRACUSE -- As the cranes towered above the walls of Alliance Bank Stadium, and equipment trucks tore through the gravel parking lot off of Tex Simone Drive, a group of about 100 people gathered on Tuesday morning.

They were there to get the best seats in the house, or ballpark, for Tuesday night's Dave Matthews Band concert. Megan Carlsen and Mandy Vassallo were first in line at about 7:30 a.m.

"I've been a fan since 1996," said Vassallo, 34. "I love the music and every show is different. It's never the same twice."

Vassallo has been to eight shows this summer, including Tuesday night's. Carlsen has been to four and plans to go to more.

"They just rock," she said. "The live music, there's nothing like it. So you've got to come back."
