The Red Cross uses incentive to increase summer donations.



According to The American Red Cross, During the summer the number of people who donate blood decreases. Bonnie Freeberm of the North Area Ambulance Corp says that it is the time of year hospitals need blood the most. The Ambulance Corp hosted the Red Cross blood drive Tuesday and used a special offer to encourage people to come donate. Everybody who came, even those who couldn't donate, got a coupon for a free carton of Friendly's ice cream. The Red Cross says every donation is a help, but blood type O donors are needed especially.
