Democratic candidate for Mayor, Joe Nicoletti held a news conference to announce his government restructuring and modernization plan. The conference was held at Syracuse University this morning.
Nicoletti plans to modernize the Syracuse government because he says it's due for a major change. "One of the things that I have seen on this campaign trail is that the city of Sryacuse has not undergone a structural change since probably the late fifties or sixties," Nicoletti said. He wants to create green jobs, consolidate the city and county departments, and revamp the public transportation.
This is Nicoletti's third run for mayor. On September 8th, Nicoletti will be up against two other Democrats in the primaries.
